Triangle Muslim Aid (TMA) is a start-up service organization which caters to those in need in the Triangle community. Our mission is to provide service opportunities, governed by Islamic principles of charity and character, to aid those in need in the Triangle community, including the impoverished, homeless, refugees, and disaster victims.

Zainab has a Bachelor's Degree in Religion and Education and a K-6 Teaching License. She currently works at a Montessori school and runs a tutoring business, My Literacy Center. She is one of the founders of TMA and president since its inception. She was born and raised in Raleigh, and has been an active member in the community since high school.
Hadeer graduated from North Carolina Central University in 2019 with a degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Management. She served as an intern for TMA before moving up the ranks to become the Director of Operations.

Shamss is an NC State graduate in with a Bachelor degree in TED-GC (Technology, Engineering, and Design) and a concentration in Graphic Communication. The passion and love for assisting those in need began with her humble parents and their experience of living in Nairobi, Kenya for 6 years. Day by day, her love flourishes to continually give with a touch of shine and hope.
Noor is a medical resident at Duke University Hospital specializing in OB/GYN. She is from Tennessee and moved to Durham in 2019. Her community passions include health education and youth empowerment. She is looking forward to learning from, connecting with, and serving members of the Triangle community.
Community Outreach Coordinator
Sienna is a senior at NC State majoring in International Studies. She has been actively involved with community service work in the Triangle for the past 4 years, and hopes to continue to be of service to the community through her work with TMA.
Hassan is a sophomore at NC Central majoring in Physics. Raised in Durham, he’s been involved in helping his community for as long as he can remember. Joining TMA has been his way of strengthening his community. He currently leads Project Downtown efforts in Durham.
Ramzi graduated in 2016 with degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University. Born and raised in Raleigh, the Triangle has been home for his whole life and he is passionate about serving it. Ramzi began his TMA journey as a community relations manager before taking on his role as Director of Strategy.

Ismail graduated from North Carolina Central University with a degree in Physics with a minor in Mathematics. He has hopes in pursuing a PhD in Physics. He was born in New Jersey and was raised in North Carolina. He has been an active part of community service activities for over five years. His passion to help others come from his parents and his religion.
Hamzah graduated from UNC in 2017 with a Bachelor's in Economics, and is now working on a Masters in Physiology at NCSU and seeks to become a physician in the future. He has been passionate about volunteering and community involvement since his youth and works to apply himself in various projects at TMA.
Sarah graduated from Meredith College in 2016 with bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics. She enjoys programming and currently works as an analytics software tester. Originally from Chicago, she has always enjoyed service work, and her volunteering experiences have aided in her unwavering commitment to help others.
Mehmet Hatip is a student at UNC Chapel Hill studying computer science and biostatistics. Born and raised in Cary, many of his memories were made at the Islamic Associaton of Raleigh with the Muslim community. Mehmet hopes to serve the TMA mission by providing avenues to make volunteering easy for the youth.

Hanan is a junior at North Carolina Central University majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing. She joined TMA through a course offered by NCCU’s SOB to gain professional marketing experience while receiving 4 credit hours towards her degree. She enjoys helping others and loves giving back to her community.
